A parliamentary delegation led by Gerard Brownlee, Speaker of the House of Representatives of New Zealand, has paid an official visit to Mongolia. The visit was particularly significant as it coincided with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

During official talks with Mr. Brownlee, Chairman of the State Great Khural (Parliament of Mongolia) D.Amarbayasgalan emphasized the broad opportunities for cooperation in agriculture, a sector that underpins both economies. In particular, he highlighted prospects for collaboration in areas such as introducing advanced technologies for sheep shearing and intensive livestock farming in Mongolia, as well as adapting New Zealand’s successful experience in developing cooperative farms.
