At the World Wrestling Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, Mongolian athletes have earned one silver and one bronze medal.

In the men’s 70 kg category, Master of Sports T.Tulga defeated wrestlers from Moldova, Bulgaria, Georgia, and Kazakhstan to reach the final. However, he lost to Japan’s Y.Aoyagi, securing a silver medal. This is his second medal at the World Championships, as he previously won a bronze. This silver medal is the 29th silver medal won by Mongolian wrestlers at the World Championships.

In the women’s 59 kg category, International Master of Sports T.Altjin triumphed over opponents from Kazakhstan, Germany, and Russia to win a bronze medal. She lost in the semifinals to a Japanese wrestler. This is the 35th medal won by Mongolian female wrestlers at the World Championships.
