Saudi Arabia Backs Mongolia’s Renewable Energy Push
Executives of ACWA Power from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visited Mongolia and held meetings with Prime Minister G.Zandanshatar and Deputy Prime Minister T.Dorjkhand. They announced plans to invest in distributed renewable energy sources with a capacity of up to 10 gigawatts by 2030, a project expected to create around 50,000 jobs. The two sides also discussed opportunities to invest in energy sources for data centers in the future.
ACWA Power is one of the top players in global energy production, operating in more than 10 countries across Africa, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia. In China alone, the company plans to invest $100 billion by 2030.
