Ruling Party Seeks Unity

After growing internal divisions that had even begun to threaten governmental stability, the ruling party has established a special working group aimed at restoring unity. The party’s executive council reached this decision after a five-hour meeting. The working group will be led by former Member of Parliament Ch.Khurelbaatar and includes several senior figures such as former President N.Enkhbayar, former Prime Minister M.Enkhbold, and former Prime Minister S.Bayar.

A New Parliamentary Group Leader

The ruling party’s parliamentary group, which had been split between two competing leaders, has reached an agreement and officially handed over its leadership seal to a new chair. J.Batjargal, who has served as a Member of Parliament since 2020 and previously worked as the governor of Tuv Province, will now head the group.

A New Deputy Speaker of Parliament

Meanwhile, J.Bat-Erdene, who previously led the ruling party’s parliamentary group, is set to move into the position of Deputy Speaker of Parliament. According to the internal agreement, his nomination has been formally submitted by the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) caucus. As part of these changes, H.Bulgantuya—currently serving as Deputy Speaker—will be relieved of her duties following the Constitutional Court’s ruling that her dual roles violated the Constitution.
