Deputy head of the Democratic Party (DP) caucus B.Jargalan announced that on Friday, commissioners of the Independent Authority Against Corruption (IAAC) carried out a surveillance operation in the office of Member of Parliament S.Ganbaatar (DP, Khangai region). He described the incident as a blatant act that undermines parliamentary immunity and destroys the balance of powers. In response, the DP caucus requested a recess from the 2026 budget discussions and they secured a five-day break from parliamentary sessions.

The IAAC, however, rejected the allegation, stating that no surveillance operation was conducted in MP S.Ganbaatar’s State Palace office and that they had only delivered a summons notice.
