Public Transport Sector Revenue Increases

Thanks to the phased introduction of new buses, technological upgrades, and route expansions, revenue in the public transport sector has risen by 68.4 percent compared to the same period last year.

  • Number of passengers in the first 7 months: 91.2 million (including repeat counts)
  • Ticket revenue: ₮30.3 billion

For reference, the capital city has increased its stake in “Ulaanbaatar Smart Card” LLC to 79 percent by purchasing additional shares.

This has enabled the city to exercise control over ticket revenue and its regulation.
