President Honors First Central Hospital on Its 100th Anniversary

President U.Khurelsukh has conferred the honorary title of Hero of Labor on the First Central Hospital of Mongolia in celebration of its 100th anniversary. Over the past century, the hospital has provided medical services to more than 20 million patients, admitted 1.8 million for treatment, and performed over 600,000 surgeries.

In recognition of their outstanding contributions to the health sector, Dr. D.Nyamsuren and Dr. O.Sergelen were also honored with the title People’s Doctor of Mongolia.

Dr. Nyamsuren led the introduction of kidney transplantation in Mongolia and is a two-time recipient of the State Prize. Dr. Sergelen, a prominent liver transplant surgeon, played a key role in drafting Mongolia’s Law on Organ Donation.
