Population and Housing Census Starts in Mongolia
Mongolia will conduct its Interim Population and Housing Census in 2025, using a registration-based digital method for the first time. The nationwide survey aims to collect and analyze key data on demographics, employment, education, migration, housing types, and living conditions. The census will draw on data from 15 government agencies, ensuring compliance with national laws and international standards.
Citizens can participate through the E-Mongolia portal or mobile app by clicking the census banner, which redirects them to 2025.mn to complete the questionnaire. The National Statistics Office (NSO) announced that officials will contact selected individuals over the next two months to verify information and improve data accuracy. Once compiled, the results will provide an updated overview of Mongolia’s social and economic structure, serving as vital input for policymaking.
