MPP Ousts Caucus Leader
After a two-week pause caused by political turmoil, the parliamentary caucus of the ruling Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) reconvened on Tuesday and voted to dismiss its leader, MP J.Bat-Erdene, from his position.
Out of 68 members, 35 attended the meeting. Those who signed the petition calling for the removal of Parliament Speaker D.Amarbaysgalan were among the attendees.
Until a new caucus leader is officially elected, MP U.Otgonbayar has been appointed as acting head of the caucus. It is worth noting that U.Otgonbayar is the younger brother of President U.Khurelsukh.
