Mongolian Women’s Volleyball Team Finishes 5th

The Mongolian women’s national volleyball team competed in the East Asian Championship. In the group stage, they faced Taiwan and Hong Kong but were unable to secure a win. After losing 3:0 to Taiwan, the team started strong against host Hong Kong by winning the first two sets, but then lost the next three sets in a row.

In the playoff for 5th place, Mongolia defeated Macau convincingly with a score of 3:0 (25:11, 25:12, 25:18), finishing the tournament on a high note.

Mongolia hosted this tournament in 2000 and 2008, winning silver and bronze medals—its best achievements to date.
