Mongolian Boxers Shine with Silver and Bronze Medals
The World Boxing Championships have concluded in Liverpool, England. A total of 10 Mongolian boxers competed in the event, earning a silver and a bronze medal, finishing 12th overall.
In the men's 50 kg category, International Master of Sports A.Battulga triumphed over fighters from Japan, Spain, and South Korea, but lost to a Kazakhstani opponent, securing a silver medal. This marks the 6th silver medal won by Mongolian boxers at the world stage.
In the women's 48 kg category, International Master of Sports L.Altantsedek won against opponents from Turkey and Japan but lost to an Indian boxer, earning a bronze medal. Previously winning a silver medal at the World Championships, she has now become Mongolia's first female boxer to win both silver and bronze at the World Championships.
