J.Nergui Receives the “Bilegt Guush” Award
The “Bilegt Guush” award, which recognizes the best literary translation named in honor of renowned translator and People’s Artist of Mongolia J.Gendendaram, has been given every two years since 2015.
For the 2025 selection, 19 works translated from six different languages competed. Senior Cultural Worker and translator J.Nergui won the top prize for Stories of Tomorrow, translated from Russian.
Second place went to translator and scholar M.Chimedtseyee, while third place was awarded to young translator B.Suvddulam.
Past recipients of the “Bilegt Guush” award include distinguished translators Ts.Gombosurен, B.Magsarjav, D.Boldbaatar, and G.Akim.
