Governor-General of Australia to Visit Mongolia
Samantha Mostyn, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, will pay an official visit to Ulaanbaatar from September 4 to 9.
During the visit, she will hold official talks with President U.Khurelsukh of Mongolia, addressing a wide range of issues related to elevating bilateral relations to the level of a “Comprehensive Partnership.”
Mongolia and Australia established diplomatic relations in 1972. The last visit by an Australian Governor-General was in 1994, when Bill Hayden came to Mongolia.
It is also worth noting that this same week, Gerard Brownlee, Speaker of New Zealand’s Parliament, is likewise visiting Mongolia.
