Google Pay Launched in Mongolia

Google Pay, one of the world’s most widely used digital payment systems, has been officially introduced in Mongolia, giving Android and Wear OS users a faster and easier way to make payments. The launch follows last year’s rollout of Apple Pay by Golomt Bank and Trade and Development Bank.

According to Bank of Mongolia President B.Lkhagvasuren, the arrival of Google Pay helps align Mongolia’s payment system with global standards. Users can now make international transactions with the national “₮ Card”, while benefiting from encrypted payment data and biometric security features used in more than 100 countries worldwide.
