Construction of Ulaanbaatar Cable Car Begins

One of the key projects planned to ease Ulaanbaatar’s traffic congestion is the cable car transport system, implemented in cooperation with the French government. The project will cover two routes: 4.2 km from Yarmag to Önör residential area and 2.7 km from the National Park to the Children’s Park.

Construction has now started with the installation of the first support pillar. Initially launched in 2019 but delayed several times, the project’s first phase includes 19 pillars and is set for completion this year, with full operation expected in the second half of next year.
