Cable Car Project Progresses at 31%

The Ulaanbaatar cable car project, financed through a highly concessional loan from the Government of France, is progressing steadily. The first line, stretching 4.2 km from Yarmag to Kharkhorin, is under active construction. Out of 19 supporting pillars, 11 have already been installed.

Construction has now begun on a station near Kharkhorin Market, along with preparatory works and necessary relocations. The project is moving forward as one of the city’s major infrastructure efforts to improve public transport and reduce traffic congestion. According to official sources, the construction work will continue throughout the winter.
