53 Factories Opened Through “Food Revolution”

Launched in 2022 at the initiative of President U.Khurelsukh, Mongolia’s “Food Revolution” movement has been actively implemented to strengthen national food production. Under this initiative, the State Great Khural adopted Resolution No. 36 to support domestic manufacturers through targeted policies and concessional loans.

Last week, President U.Khurelsukh visited several factories participating in the movement. The company “Eden” LLC, known for its concentrated sea buckthorn and blueberry juices, received a loan of ₮4 billion, which enabled it to increase sales revenue by 57% and production volume by 89%. Similarly, “Uguumj Arkhad” LLC used a ₮2 billion loan to open a new factory, expanding its production capacity 2.5 times.

Meanwhile, “Monos Khuns” JSC obtained an investment loan of ₮30 billion to establish a new production facility and begin construction of a new warehouse in the eastern region. As a result, its sales revenue grew by 68%, and the number of jobs increased by 20%.

So far, more than 3,000 enterprises have received concessional loans totaling ₮1.2 trillion under the “Food Revolution” initiative. This has led to the opening of 53 new factories and the creation of 44,000 jobs in just one year. In addition, businesses have benefited from ₮300 billion in tax incentives and interest subsidies.
